Facilitating a Creator Circle

Each Creator Circle is facilitated by a team of two. At least one team member needs to be comfortable in the Zoom Host support role and starting the Zoom call 15 minutes before the official start time. Both team members are welcome to take on a Facilitator role during group sharing. Each team can determine how and if they want to share/divide the Facilitator role for the season.

Qualifications/Commitments for a Creator Circle Facilitator Role
  • Previous participation in a full season of Creator Circles
  • Desire to listen to God and to connect others to do the same.
  • Desire to connect with and serve other Christian artists wherever their hearts are
  • An intuitive sensitivity toward and honor for different Christian traditions; Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, Evangelicals, and Charismatics should all feel comfortable.
  • Ability to show up authentically and hold space for others (non judgmental, not fixing, safe etc.)
  • Commit to being present at all four scheduled Creator Circle sessions, following the Creator Circle model for the sessions.
  • Commit to meeting regularly with other Creator Circle facilitators (once or twice over the summer and 1-2 times each season)
Qualifications/Commitment for a Creator Circle Zoom Host Role
  • Previous participation in a full season of Creator Circles
  • Commit to being present at all four scheduled Creator Circle sessions, including 15 minutes before and after
  • Commit to meeting regularly with other Creator Circle facilitators (once or twice over the summer and 1-2 times each season)

Participation in facilitator training does not imply obligation to become a facilitator. All are welcome to participate in the training. Much of what will be covered about attentive listening, attunement and the skills of facilitation can be applied in a variety of relational contexts. In order to be assigned to a Creator Circle as a facilitator, one must have participated in at least one full season of Creator Circles. Since facilitators are by nature a relational role and are assigned as pairs , there are many factors to consider before assigning a team of facilitators to a Creator Circle.
